Three leg surgeries for a high school athlete could affect the ability to succeed. But for Norman (Oklahoma) Community Christian senior second baseman Haddon McIntosh, it has not slowed him down.

McIntosh set the national record for career stolen bases (pending approval from the OSSAA) in his final high school baseball game despite a history of major injuries. During his high school career, he has suffered a broken ankle and two torn ACLs the past three football seasons.

McIntosh stole 11 bases in the regional tournament, and tied the record of 210 set by Tim Dressler of Waltonville, Illinois from 1981-1984 in the fourth inning of Community Christian’s season ending game. Later, McIntosh stole third base in the sixth inning to set the record of 211.

McIntosh finished his senior year with 63 stolen bases. He signed to play at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
