Louisiana Runner Continues Astounding Career with 37 State Titles

Most high school athletes would relish the chance to win just one state title and become a local hero. However Gabrielle Jennings, a junior at First Baptist Christian School in Slidell, Louisiana, has won an unfathomable 37 state titles.

Last week Jennings continued her legendary career the only way she knows by winning four more state track and field titles. In the process, she broke two of her own state records in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs, beating her previous times by more than 5 seconds each.

A true student-athlete, she has a 3.93 grade-point average and participates in student government as well as serving as a youth running instructor. Jennings won her first state title when she was just a fifth grader, and next year as a senior she will look to win even more.
