There's a new opportunity for participation for students with disabilities. The Sparkle Effect is an innovative program that helps students across the country create inclusive cheerleading and dance teams in middle schools, high schools and colleges that bring together students with and without disabilities.

So far more than 130 Sparkle Effect teams have been started in 26 states.

Hannibal (Missouri) High School is one of the newest programs.

Dyer County (Tennessee) High School has also benefited from the Sparkle Effect.
